Interesting idea, but it does seem derivative. Comments?

I guess you could say these tiles are virtual curves up Trax tiles and the object of the game is to form a closed loop. I note that there is no forced play rule which is the essence of Trax strategy and a recognised Trax first. Also that players get to play two tiles at a time. Trax was invented by me in 1980 and it has undoubtedly spawned a plethora of tile games played onto any flat surface i.e. no board involved.
Tantrix and Hive are two examples and che is another.
As they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!

Thanks for drawing it to my attention Zugzwang.

I would say it looks like an extremely different game. If you follow Cameron's progress you will know that he has done a considerable amount of exploration of space-filling and curve-completing games, among others. He is well aware of Trax as well as any number of alternatives as he has written a book on the subject.

Will it be a classic like Trax. Who knows, but I would certainly encourage people to judge it on its own merits rather than drawing comparisons.

Cheers,

Lyman
